Chris Moore

Associate

Chris is a specialist in environmental resource management and sustainable finance. He has over five years’ experience in sustainability and climate standards and environmental policy, incorporating project management, programme design, proposal development, and technical research, all with a global focus.

Prior to joining Terranomics, Chris worked for the Climate Bonds Initiative. He led and coordinated the development of multiple standards for certifying sustainable investments with the ambition to achieve the Paris goals. This covered a range of sectors including forestry, agriculture, heavy industry and electrical grids. The project outputs were driven by convening technical and industry stakeholder working group discussions. This gives Chris unique experience with consensus-based approaches which reflect regional and local perspectives.

Chris has also worked on environmental policy for the European Commission in Brussels. Most notably, he assisted on the EU Communication on forest restoration and protection released in 2019.

Chris holds a BSc in Environmental Biology (Nottingham) and an MSc in Environmental Technology (Imperial College London). During the former he specialised in coral reef ecology with field research experience in Indonesia, and in the latter he specialised in emerging technological solutions for conservation.
